Conferences UK Limited, now trading as ConferencesGroup was established in December 2004. Company Director and Co-Founder Simon Thompson previously came from a Hotel & Catering background, having worked both for Hilton in the UK and Internationally. Simon personally organised all Hotel, Travel and Hospitality services for Carlsberg and Green Flag during the 1998 FIFA World Cup France 1998. Then went on to work as a consultant for both FIFA and Ryder Cup Travel Services, contracting hotels for Events including the 2002 FIFA World Cup and 2001 Ryder Cup. Simon recognised the opportunity for an online venue finding agency in 2004 and set up www.conferences-uk.org.uk together with business partner William Berry. 5 years on the company has built up a team of 20 sales agents who have the facility to work flexibly, remote or from the office, have extended their services to Conference Management, AV Production, Team Building, Events and is reported to be the fastest growing Conference Agency in the UK.
